GRADE 5 STUDENTS’ VISIT TO NEHRU PLANETARIUM, PRIME MINISTERS’S MUSEUM AND LIBRARY – 10-11-2024
The Grade 5 students of Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Nivedita Vidyamandir embarked on an enriching educational excursion to the Nehru Planetarium, Prime Minister’s Museum, and Library. The trip aimed to provide students with a hands-on learning experience about space science, India’s history, and the lives of its leaders, complementing their academic curriculum.
Arrival and Orientation
The students, accompanied by their teachers and school staff, began their journey early in the morning, filled with enthusiasm and curiosity. Upon arrival at the Nehru Planetarium, they were warmly greeted by the staff and introduced to the day’s itinerary.
Exploring the Nehru Planetarium
At the planetarium, the students attended an immersive sky show titled “The Wonders of the Universe,” which provided a mesmerizing view of celestial objects, constellations, and the latest advancements in space exploration. They also explored interactive exhibits, such as models of spacecraft and astronomical instruments, which sparked their interest in astronomy. The session concluded with a Q&A session where students actively participated, asking insightful questions about space and astronomy.
Visit to the Prime Minister’s Museum
The next stop was the Prime Minister’s Museum, where students were taken on a journey through the lives and contributions of India’s Prime Ministers. The museum’s state-of-the-art displays, including holographic exhibits and interactive touch screens, helped students understand pivotal moments in Indian history. The visit instilled a sense of patriotism and admiration for the leaders who have shaped the nation.
Exploring the Library
The final destination was the Prime Minister’s Library, where students were introduced to a treasure trove of books, documents, and archives.
