Earth Day Celebration at Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Nivedita Vidyamandir
Date: April 22, 2025
Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Nivedita Vidyamandir celebrated Earth Day with great enthusiasm and a strong sense of environmental responsibility. The occasion was marked by a special morning assembly that brought together students and staff in a collective effort to reflect upon the importance of protecting our planet.
The event began with an inspiring message by Pravrajika Jnanaprana, Principal, who spoke passionately about the need to live in harmony with nature. Emphasizing the teachings of Indian spiritual traditions, she reminded everyone that Mother Earth is not just a resource but a living being deserving of our reverence and care. Her words ignited a deep sense of responsibility in the hearts of all present.
This was followed by the Earth Day Pledge, taken solemnly by the principal, teachers, and students. With hands on hearts and a promise to act, all pledged to conserve resources, reduce pollution, and nurture the Earth with mindful choices in daily life.
An Earth Day poem in English was beautifully recited by Dhawal Krishna.
The celebration continued with a joyful and creative Art and Craft activity across all grades. Students created posters that conveyed powerful messages about conservation, recycling, and the beauty of nature. The school campus was adorned with colourful expressions of love for the Earth.
A special highlight was a charming short activity by our Pre-Primary children, where they demonstrated how to grow and care for a plant. This hands-on display by our youngest learners left a lasting impression on everyone.
The Earth Day celebration concluded with a renewed collective commitment to live sustainably and inspire others to do the same. It was a beautiful blend of awareness, action, and creativity—reflecting the true spirit of Earth Day.
