The Annual Sports Day of Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Nivedita Vidyamandir was celebrated with great enthusiasm and excitement on 15th December 2024 in the school premises. The event showcased athletic talent, team spirit, and boundless energy, making it a memorable day for students, teachers, and parents alike.
The program commenced with a warm welcome of the Chief Guest, Mrs. Neeti Kanungo, Former Principal of Army School, a renowned Trainer and Counselor, along with her husband, Colonel Prabir Kanungo, who graciously presided over the event. The Chief Guest was welcomed with a school band performance, which set a festive and lively tone for the day.
Following the welcome, the students solemnly took the sports oath, pledging to uphold the spirit of sportsmanship, fairness, and teamwork. The program proceeded with a stunning display of drills, where the students exhibited synchronized movements, discipline, and grace, earning applause from the audience.
The field events commenced with sprints, relays, and innovative obstacle races that kept the spectators on the edge of their seats. The energy on the ground was contagious as students gave their best in every race and game. A special highlight was the inclusion of exciting games for parents, teachers, and volunteers, which brought laughter, camaraderie, and joy to the event.
The much-awaited prize distribution ceremony was presided over by Mrs. Neeti Kanungo and Colonel Prabir Kanungo, who graciously gave away the medals, trophies, and certificates to the deserving winners. In her inspiring address, Mrs. Neeti Kanungo praised the students for their hard work and determination and highlighted the importance of sports in building confidence, discipline, and resilience.
The event ended with the national anthem. All participants were given refreshments after the program.
