Vibrant Colours Week Celebration
Red Day | Yellow Day | Blue Day | Green Day
At Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Nivedita Vidyamandir, the campus came alive with a burst of colours during the joyful celebration of Vibrant Colours Week, where each day of the week was dedicated to one colour—Red, Yellow, Blue, and Green. The purpose was to help our young learners identify, associate, and explore the beauty and significance of colours in a playful and meaningful way.
Day 1 – Red Day (Symbol of Love and Energy)
The week began with the bold and bright Red Day. Children looked adorable in their red outfits, carrying red toys, fruits, and flowers. Red, the colour of love, energy, and vitality, was introduced through rhymes, stories, and creative activities like making red apple crafts and ladybugs. The environment radiated warmth and excitement.
Day 2 – Yellow Day (Symbol of Happiness and Cheer)
The next day was all about Yellow—the colour of sunshine, joy, and optimism. Little ones lit up the school in cheerful yellow clothes. They brought yellow fruits like bananas and mangoes and participated in crafts like making sunflowers and smiley faces. The whole day glowed with positivity and happiness.
Day 3 – Blue Day (Symbol of Peace and Calmness)
Blue Day brought a cool and calming vibe to the week. The colour blue, representing the sky, sea, and serenity, was celebrated with enthusiasm. Children wore various shades of blue, created raindrop and cloud crafts, and learned to recognize blue items in their surroundings through fun games and songs.
Day 4 – Green Day (Symbol of Nature and Growth)
The celebration concluded with Green Day, dedicated to the colour of nature, growth, and harmony. Dressed in green, the children brought green vegetables, leaves, and toys. They created tree and frog-themed crafts and learned the importance of plants and greenery in our lives. The day promoted environmental awareness in the simplest way.
A Week of Colourful Learning
Each day of the week included:
Colour-themed art and craft activities
Rhymes, stories, and songs focusing on the colour of the day

The Vibrant Colours Week was more than just a visual treat—it was a joyful, educational journey that enhanced the children’s understanding of colours, their emotional impact, and their presence in nature and daily life. It was truly heartwarming to see our little ones explore the colourful world around them with such enthusiasm!
